She collaborates with various Bariatric Surgeons in the area who are available by consult. Also sees patients after they have had their surgical procedure, like in any other area of medicine.
What to Expect
Patients are seen through a 6 months period agreement in which Dr. Porrata will complete an initial evaluation of the cause/causes of the obesity or overweight, arrive to a diagnosis, start treatment and continue with frequent follow ups until favorable progress is achieved. Referrals to bariatric centers will depend on the need or agreement from the patient. Long term treatment and maintenance will vary depending on the particular case.
